Homesick on the High Seas
Oh, the life of a sailor, so free and so bold
But little do you know, they're secretly cold
Their hearts are at home, with their loved ones so dear
While they're out at sea, with only tears to clear

They dream of their beds, and their mom's cooking too
But all they get is saltwater, and a crew that snores 'boo!'
They miss their warm showers, and their favorite chair
But now they're stuck with buckets, and a faucet that's rare

Their skin's turned to leather, their hair's gone astray
They're starting to think, 'Why did I sail away?'
They're homesick and weary, with a heart full of pain
But still they'll sail on, through the wind and the rain

So if you see a sailor, with a tear in his eye
Just know that he's thinking, of his home and his pie
And if you see him smile, it's just a disguise
For the homesick blues, that he can't deny!
