I open my eyes
Feeling that heartache they caused
I try to keep myself busy
Try to keep my mind focused
Try to steer the pain away
But my efforts feel hopeless

Remaining positive
But how to keep it up in a world
That's so dark, A place where they tell you to reach for the stars
"Anything is possible"
Who are we kidding??
Fucking statement's bizarre!

And so I push forward daily
Hoping it will get better
Hoping the pain will go away
So I can focus on who I'm meant to be
And not fade away...
