I'll come home
I'll be back, I'll be back I say.
I know it feels like it won't stop,
pouring rain on and on and on,
while you lay out in the cold,
but I promise I'll come home.
It's been a few years since,
I told you everything's okay.
I can see that you are hurting,
that the stars aren't aligning.
That nothing will suffice,
your empty soul and self.
Do you remember me love,
am I a forgotten memory,
the one who left you to burn?
In my ignorance I lay cold,
if I lit a match and start a fire,
would it just burn our soul?
The world is cold and cruel,
you don't find a sense of self.
While you just suffocate,
everyone laughs and smiles,
your pain isn't ever drowned.
The voices go sing for eternity,
your smile still fights to hold on,
and I keep tirelessly fighting
the demons and the plagues,
that haunt your mind today.
I'll be home, be home one day.
