The Crossing
How times have changed
In many ways
The years have passed
Like fleeting days
My thoughts are crystal
As ever had been
More precious now
Yet seldom seen
It seems as though life
Was but a dream
Pain and laughter
And times serene
Yet one thought
Haunts my brain
I fear my death
If I lived in vein
Was it all for nought
And nothing learned
Were my lessons futile
Like teardrops burned
As my time grows closer by
A single thought haunts my head
What will it be like?
When I am dead!
