There definitely are certain things in my life that truely matters
Books, coffee and you
But you'll never know how beautiful you make my world each day
And you'll always be that someone special in this life

It didn't surprise me when I first saw you
But it did frightened me after knowing you
How can someone be so beautifully broken
And yet smile so graciously and soulfully?

The one terrific thing in life I saw
The most damaged person I've encountered
perhaps it only takes one broken soul to feel the other
And darling even the stars burn out and fall

Those sad eyes I still remember
Like a crack in an earthen vase
Thousand poems born with your gone
Like the shooting star that can only be adored

And when the world slumbers in darkness
I lay wide awake in melancholy
Trying to reach out to you in silence
And in between the lines of my poetry I'll meet you there
