Why count the candles
Or tally the years,
Count your blessings instead,
As your birthday nears.

I'm sure there are some
Who loves you and who care,
And some who've enriched your life,
Just by being there.

Think about the good memories,
Passing years can't mar,
Experiences great and small,
That have made you who you are.

Another year is a gift
So cut the cake and say
Instead of counting birthdays
Count the blessings everyday!
