Years upon years ago
As the world passed us by,
You cried in echoes
As I sat by your side.

Gazing up the hollow sky
Out of nowhere one day,
You asked me all the whys
"Why love me? Why stay?"

And so I lived in moments
Searching for the whys,
(Re)writing, ever since
So here, let me give it a try.

You are the horizon
Where the sun meets the sea,
The doorway to a place
Braided in fiction and reality.

You were born of warmth
Of sunlight and happiness,
While I am coldness
Of shadows and regrets.

We are two worlds, cascades
Of longings: to be seen, disappear or both,
Parting, remerging most days;
A patchwork of constellations and ghosts.

Our past, present, future
Embedded in the stars- groundless,
Over a thousand languages, love-
Ours, perhaps, for now,
Nameless.
