Depression knows no face
It affects any person of any race
It is a state of sadness and dejection
That causes isolation and forms suicidal ideation

It's very hard to say what you're worth
And it's even harder to deal with all the hurt

Depression is a demon of darkness
A toxic illness formed by one's sadness
As long as you feed it, you'll never be at ease
But if you overcome it, you'll be left in peace
