Mirrors are reflections,
But they are not complete
A mirror can not show you
Who you need to be

A mirror can not show
Your wishes or your dreams
What a mirror sees
Is only as it seems

Light can not touch you
Only touch your skin
Through it's bending and refraction
It cannot see within

Your physical appearance
May not match yourself
Mirrors show reflections
Just of someone else

Who is this person
Standing in my room
Looking in my mirror
Dousing me in gloom

I want to see her
This image in the air
I turn around and try to look
But I am standing there

Trapped in my reflection
Struggling to get free
Locked in the illusion
Everybody sees

Mirrors show reflection
But they are not alone
For Eyes can only see
Reflections of their own
