While You're Here
Messy sheets,
Your arm beneath my head,
The smell of your cologne is intoxicating,
Addictive, your gaze,
Beautiful, your smile.
The slight wrinkles in your eyes when you laugh,
Everything about you is perfect.
We shared a single cup of cocoa.
I wish we could stay like this forever.
Imperfectly perfect.
Who knows how long this'll last?
A few months? A year?
It's too good to be true,
I must be dreaming.
But when I open my eyes,
You're there.
Looking at me with that same look,
Intense, yet warm.
How long will this last?
I don't know, and I don't care,
I'll cherish you while you're here.
