Silent watcher
Silence
Pure silver
Dripping down
The branches of trees wrap around my waist as I look down
Down
Down
A woman sits on a orange lit patio
A young girl creates and destroys in the comfort of the silenced dark
She waters her flowers
She types and types
Until her thoughts disappear
Until her fingers are bone
Deep into my hazy depths as I sway back and forth following the movements of their heads
Moving along with the waves far away
Till the shore has disappeared
Far from their nightmares
Far from their tragedies
Far from their forgotten longing
I watch
I wonder
I look down on them from above
As the frogs croak silently
As the owls fill the world with song
As deer huddle under a trampoline for warmth
Through the mirror image in the snow
Or the reflection in stray puddles
As the world sleeps they stay awake whispering
Thinking
Learning
Teaching
Reflecting

There are so many bad things
So many tragedies in the cruel depths
They wrack my mind as I watch through a pail glass window
In the end though
At least I can listen to typing fingers
And the sound of water
Till its time to leave
Time to dip
Down
Down
Down

Silence
Silence
Silence as the sun returns once more
