We all walk alone through the desolate desert of life
I found a Bedouin woman who later became my wife.

We fail to see each other's struggle, that results in a strife
That's what causes the endless war amongst the human tribe.

Water isn't scarce, it's just not present,
I fall to the ground and to Allah I repent.

I have sinned against my soul a hundred million times
Try to chant The Holy Quran but could never stick to the rhyme

Maqtub, is what issued from the lips of the Prophet
There's blood that has formed a clot inside my right eye socket.

I fought with myself that's what is called true Jihad,
Travelling so long but I ain't lucky like Sindbad.

If writing eased my pain, then why do I burn all my notes
The meaningless 'meh's' we hear from the to be slaughtered goats

I always thought ending the life of another was the only solution to my problems,
Never knew there was something worse than death, which was sunset
Never knew understanding love could be so preposterous,
I have a lot to give back, I am miser neck deep in debt.

Love however showed me why I wanted to live and love
There's no freedom in slavery just the flight of white doves.....
