I tried testing the water before diving in it
To know the depth and rate at which i will go
But i got lost in the moment and became unconscious
That the water carried me away with its hands
Releasing me in the middle of it.
I tried shouting for help from faraway
But my voice betrayed me, and i couldn't voice anything
I was stabbed in the back by my mouth
If only i know tongues could run too
I would have succeeded in tying it a long time ago.
I pledge my allegiance to the sea god
In hope it will relay my last word to those i cherish
To make their threnody a melodious one for me
Telling them how i was betrayed by the servants i loved the most
Telling them to rely not on anything or anyone.
Maybe i have been a bad master to all
Because even the beloved air left me alone
My cherished body also grabbed the baton to join the race
I couldnt feel anything anymore
Is this what they called 'dying'?
I have disregarded the fact that one day i will die too
Using my money and power as atool to oppress the poor
Thinking i was made rich to rule over the poor
Making people a staircase i mount to my parlor
But thanks to death, now i know better why i am rich
But it is too late to repent my sins
As i stand before a man cloth in white with my records.
