The Two Roads Of Life
It was the hardest race of time
and I started losing zest.
I thought I'd never reach the line
and end up below the list.
The race was long, the road was hard -
and only few could endure.
Time was short, chances were bad.
Winning the game was obscure.
But then I braved to stand and say,
"I have to go all through this game."
And there I was - not in a play -
but in a win-lose bout of men.
There were wide and narrow roads as well as smooth and rough lanes.
Many took the easy routes -
many failed to win the game.
I took the rough and narrow ways
for in these two I conquered fear.
I mastered dread and cowardice -
a strong person I reappeared.
