I knew I was treading on thorns
but you had a good side too
your bright red petals
and the fragrance they brought to my life,
meant so much, gave so much,
and created beautiful feelings in me,
that I was ready
to walk over those thorns every day
so I could have the sweet smelling
petal side of you, with me.
