#MothersDayPoem
The fragrance of my childhood,
Hides in the folds of your embrace,
remembering the last song that would play
you were gone
you could not stay
you belonged to the city
my faith in you
I did not pity
running away with my happiness
my sadness i would chase
never could another
I would call mother
the sorrow now
takes your sweet place
if only this shattered
and I could erase
the image of last
I saw your face
I beg and I plea
stay with me
you had to be free
here is me
second I place
but it's not your fault
I'll lose this race
too painful to keep up pace
my tears found me
stained my face
finding myself
I had to find first place
only then would I recognize
loves saving grace.
