An intense feeling, I have never felt,
one of fear and of boldness.
I laugh out and cry loud:
is this what it means to be free?
Emotions gather around me,
the joy of freedom made me cry,
I pant around out of breath,
the day I long waited for is here,
I will write it down on a stone
that I might never forget.

I wish I could tell you how I feel
O freedom!!
But you are a formless being
O freedom!!
that I can't see.
