A DESPERATE CULTURE ( THE CULTURE OF MY PEOPLE )2
Most people refuse to eat certain foods because they are forbidden by the gods
If a man die out of a strange disease his death is attributed to the gods
His death becomes an abomination
The gods need to be consulted
They need to be pacified
The land needs to be cleansed
Animals and sometimes a person needs to be sacrificed
All they needed was a bottle of "schnapps", a glass cup and a bit of animal blood
They pour libation and offer sacrifice to the gods
They will wait for them to answer
These objects of creation have no mouths
How will they answer
When the gods do not answer they begin to use their conscience to predict
Somehow men always find something to blame for their weaknesses
Something they can rely on and consult In times of perils
Something they can hide behind to avoid blame
This could be the reason why they worshipped objects of creation
This could be the reason behind all the blood sacrifices
What kind of god takes away the lives of the very people he is supposed to protect
A desperate culture endangers the lives of the people
