the night after the world collapsed into my bed,
the reminents of you strung about in my head.
the blurry reincarnations of the night plague my soul,
all I know is you took your toll.
we kissed and we laughed,
and we have so many photographs.
but I can’t quite make out your abstract silhouette,
because in the heat of it all you just left me to sweat.
the morning after you cleaned up all of your traces,
and you told me you left for better places,
I didn’t know that that place was your boyfriends bed,
and you’d strung me along to be mislead.
