Why is it so hard
Keep trying to fix
This broken path
Still, I am falling down hard
Want to laugh like I use to
Dress up, make up, earrings
Looking forward to hear the ocean
waves bring
Miss the beach, mountain tops
Clouds that blue skies bring
I have been told in the past
Hard times are lessons
Keep faith, they won't last

Miss my heart beating fast
Miss having that special one to miss
Miss my friend that lives eighteen hours away by plane
One day I hope, another will
make me feel the same
I have this dream about one
He crosses my mind
When the sun's work is done
I wonder if he...is that special one
Wonder if I will ever kiss his cheek
Wonder is he likes Sushi, tasting wine
Or if he laughs at the evening moon
dancing with the stars
Dreams fade when you wish too hard So, I' ll give it a minute
Or a day to...recharge

Groom the mind, polish exterior
Healthy is my key
Laughter is my natural high...
Can a lady be too independent
Could this be why paths keep
breaking in front of me?
