the sun stopped shining
it is the end of the day
the end of this winter
inside this voided space

"tell me what happens
when the snow is
finally melted?"
she asked me again

"it becomes water,"
I tried to guess
but she laughed at me
and smiled saying

"spring comes
when the snow melts,"
she said to me dearly
as if this will be the last

I felt warm even if
the snow is still piling up
I thought the spring
will last for an eternity

but I forgot that
when the wind becomes chilly
and the days start to shorten
winter will come again
