the spartin boy
I remember
remember
a story a teacher once told
two spartan boys,
climb up a hill
one with a pet fox, in his coat.
there father had been drinking
and he ran up to scold the boys
unknowing about the fox
that was his boys had tucked away
for hours he would scold them.
nearly half a day
but then, oh god one boy fell down
and horrors did arise.
the fox had chewed through the poor child
and not once did he cry.
I used to find it ridiculous
in every sort of way
until I relized that's what most people went though in their everyday.
pressing it all inward
trying not to cry
even when there's something eating ones self alive.
while people simply yell
"why do you make that face?
what mad you think to make that noise?
you complete utter desgrace."
it's funny how humans
in order to survive
evolved to get mad at others
rather then help them stay alive.
