I stood in the shores
absently
with my eyes cast in the shadow,
of the palm trees in the ocean's still
waters.
The shadows reflected my life
which had so much untapped dreams,unmet goals and a life
so little lived.
I wanted to give my dreams
a new direction
To stop being my own shadow,
but be my original self
