from the comfort of your couch, or walk in from
troubling day-worries of
all the bills needing paid,
sorrow of still missing the
one who needed to get away
(I want to hear your laughter again, talk on the way to work),
- & twist the knob
under the lampshade
once, now twice,
light brightens every
situation
