Reflection
REFLECTION
As I stand in front of the mirror to stare at my reflection
I feel bare as I look through myself, I see my soul's complexion
My soul has grown dark & I now care less for my heart's desire
Hopes crushed, faith cold & in life I have nothing to admire
Where is that joy, that zest that made my days serene
I long for silence, for the calm that prevailed before life's siren
It rang and it distorted...
