Dead Tree
Toxicity is the root of the tree—
that will seep into the soil,
and become a fake plastic tree.
A poison ivy leaves strapped me,
choking, gasping, no life can see—
rough and cold to the touch
alone is just too much!
the branches of a futile quest
and the bane of twigs—
contaminates the fallen leaves.
Dead tree— where's my mind?
filled with regret of toxins
filled with water— dead tree.
