Revellers Love
Old watery whisky eyes amidst the wrinkles
Look out onto a world turned stark and strange
Laughter with the jukebox music tinkles
When did the sights and sounds begin to change

Running wrinkled furrows mournfully ingrained
All around they revelled never thinking of tomorrow
Unaware he's there among them in his pain

I was the athlete and virile like a bull
An act of rough and toughness as if I cared the least
Underneath my front I was a fool
Through unshed tears and smoke appeared a vision
A face from way back yonder long ago
He loved her he promised he made of her his mission
