Mona Lisa smiles
But hiding behind are shadows and crimes
She blames herself for all the while
Yes, she is kind, yet her black stained glass of a mind
Holds her captive of loving what she sees in the mirror

Her eyes are captivating
I keep staring at the shape of her lips, how they curl and bend when she smiles her mellow smile
How I wonder if they’re soft…
Her skin glows with a natural tone of sleep deprivation
Her smile lines are subtle yet deep, I hope she laughs more in the future,

But for now she stays stuck within the painted story for her
With no real beginning
No middle
And no end
Simply just to sit and stare and smile
