Knife crime is a disease that plagues our cities
Starting with the youngest of vulnerable teens
As gangs fight they hear the screams
Their first glimpse of a knife as it gleams
Hidden from parents like the bad dreams
Spreading like wildfire with endless grief
As a parent I worry about what I read
So many die before getting to see
That life is as precious as every single seed
Too many eyes cry tears that bleed
