Lamplight leaves no trace at all.
Under the sunlit guise of motion.
Sadness is temporarily forgotten.
Scratches stain crumbling walls.
Etched by the dirty fingernails of the past.
Moonlit dreams make wise the day.
Shadows that scar a cool night's breeze.
Through open windows embraced.
Under covers shunned to shivering.
