I am Southern Kaduna
Last night I said goodnight
See you in the morning and now
the day ain't even broken
I'm choking up in this air of mourning
Water turning into blood and floods all our streets
Graves outnumber houses
How'd this become our fate?
Mother's stained with blood of children
Fathers cry like helpless women
Children , forever maimed by murder's strain
Someone please free us from this misery
Ain't no mystery
Hell's unleased on our community
How did we get here, where do we go to?
Heart bleeds from broken pieces not sure they can pull through
Shameful but true; human lives are been treated no better than common flies
I've lost count trying to number my losses
And the dust ain't even settled yet!
