There's a reason why I can't write poetry.

and it's the same reason why I can't finish the song,
the words dance around in my head
to their own tune
and they always catch me off beat...
If they even catch me at all.
Cause me to skip and miss something
and now... I'm missing.

Something,
always missing something.
forgetting, to remember to capture just one moment.

Every song I hear is already playing my song.
Rhyming my rhymes
Writing my wrongs and airing
MY dirty laundry for all to see
and once all my s*** hits the fan,
Do they even really see

me?

They couldn't possibly.

What they think they see is still
Underneath.
looking right back at them
Staring.

eye to eye
an eye for an eye
so they tell me that I can't,
