The ideal person you thought me to be

The time finally came
Your rose tinted glasses cracked
Shards falling from your eyes
Revealing the reality

Not your ideal fantasy
Just a man with flaws
That overshadowed
The qualities you adored

Every indiscretion punished
Overwhelmed by your judgement
Too tired to hold my own
In my guilt you let me drown
