Banging your head against the rocks
Pleading silently for someone to stop you

Eternal rest
Insistent silence
Your heart was supposed to keep pounding
Beating against your chest
Just waiting for someone to stop it

The jagged waves could rip it away
Just in time for you to try and tear it out yourself

No one sees
Thoughts that kill
Piercing happiness
Shaking on the bathroom floor
No one sees through the mask
No one sees that the one thing you want is for someone to stop you
Stop the clock
Or stop the hurt
Stop the tears
Stop the madness

We all know whats easiest
What's best
But the can the meaningless ever gain meaning?
Can the hurt become the bandages?
Can people really change?


Waiting
The next milestone is near
For how much longer?
There's no purpose
Meaningless numbers
Tallied on my skin
They say its awful
How can it feel so freeing?
You know every line is another nail
Building a ship to sail away
