They say the new year is a new beginning a fresh start
But where is it
The new year still didn't come to me
It is middle of January
But I'm still stuck in the old year

The days are still the same
Melting into one
The nights are still heavy
Tossing and turning
Trying to get some rest

Where is it
The fresh start
The new year
I'm still at the same place at the same time
My heart still tired and broken

The days goes by
Unmotivated, lying procrastinating
Doing nothing just waiting for the end
Slowly disappearing

Will it end just like that
I'm sorry
I can't do it any longer
Where it all go
The dreams my plans
They still written as my goals

When will the new year come to me
When will I be able to start fresh
When will I feel alive
Did I ever feel like that

My mind still playing tricks on me
You can do it
painting the new me chasing my dreams
The next moment its mocking me
Its impossible for you
Laughing at me

Is there even such think as a fresh start a new me
Is there even such think as living your dream, chasing it
Is there even a point in trying anymore
Is it or is my mind playing tricks on me
