Within the space between
our words,
A silent room,
Emotions linger, shrouded in the gloom,
Thoughts tiptoe, hesitant and shy,
Longing for the courage to fly,
Unspoken truths, a tangled skein,
Strained silence speaks volumes of
What might have been,
Apologies hover, unvoiced pleas,
Aching confessions carried on the breeze,
Misunderstandings fester in the void,
Misplaced judgements, a love unalloyed,
Words withheld, a dam holding tight,
A torrent of feelings yearning for the light,
Will we ever bridge this chasm so wide?
Can we release the unspoken deep inside?
Or are we destined to forever roam?
Lost in the silence of a
love unknown?
