Not The Day
Our feet will not get wet,
Standing on fallen trees seems to not be the day to get your feet wet.
Standing on falling trees that are in the water,
Finding a now vacant log for five friends to lounge.
On a day like today as warm as today, I guess it is the reflection of the Sun’s rays you seek.
It beckons you to show yourself to the world; the gathering of food is not what on your mind.
It’s confusing because when it’s cooler I don’t see you; you’re enjoying the water that surrounds you.
