Silent Confessions
In the stillness of the night's dark shade,
Where shadows dance & secrets are made,
I whisper truths that only I can say,
To the darkness, & the darkness stays.
My heart beats slow, my soul on fire,
As I confess the thoughts that never tire,
The whispers of a lonely mind,
The tears that fall, the heart that's blind.
In this silence, I am free to speak,
To confess the fears that I would seek,
To let go of the weight I bear,
And let the darkness take away my care.
But even in the silence, I am not alone,
For in the darkness, my heart has a home,
A place where secrets are kept safe & sound,
Where my true self can be found.
So let me whisper, let me confess,
Let my heart beat slow & quiet, yes,
For in the silence, I am free to be,
My true self, wild & carefree.
