Inner Treasons
You said you loved me,
it was dark and dreary
it was cold and lonely,
my heart feels weary.
Thinking of ways to release my demons,
upon myself within these inner treasons.

My favourite days,
we spent alone,
in our bed,
fools of groan.
Helpless souls wander free,
we danced ajar a fabled oak tree.

A walk in the drowning rain,
the sense of anguish numbs my pain.
I talk about being in love once more,
we shall fret full sore,
Shaking and cold by the coastal shore.
