When my head hits the pillow
I want to fall asleep
Why can't my brain understand this?
It's really not that hard

I don't want to be kept up
Worrying about things
What I've done and said in the past
Or things that are to come

I toss and turn in my sheets
Face left, right or on back
Cannot find the right position
Every one feels wrong

And when I begin to drift
Into that sweet sweet sleep
My brain likes to pull a fun prank
And gives me the worst dreams

Please just let me rest...
