When Sugar Turns Bitter
When sugar turns bitter,
And when the room is filled with litter,
Would I still be the same infront of your eyes?
Or would your ears fall deaf to my cries?

When open wounds are stitched with salty tears,
And when all I could hear are my screams of fear,
Tell me, would you hold my pieces together?
Or would it be me, shattered and scattered by the windy weather?

When all your mornings start with resentment,
When life decides to tell me, "Fuck fulfilment",
When "sorry" becomes my currency to buy peace,
When smiling means nothing more than just a crease on my face,

Answer me,
Will you really be there for me?
Because if you ask me, I'm fine being alone,
But I don't want hope to kill me like before...
