I visited
I visited.
And that place had been alone for almost a year,
Dust sat mannerless on its tables,
And its chairs,
Its ceiling a rat paradise!
I never knew what they ate,
But I suppose magazines,
They lay there like human skeletons,
Chewed to the pins!
I visited.
And it was still numb,
I couldn't feel it,
It just sat there staring at me the ghost it had become undeniable.
But I hugged it,
Hugged it tighter than I've ever hugged any woman I trusted enough...
