"Icarus"

Means "The one who reaches the sky"

That is the name I was dubbed,

Even perhaps before my fate, before I was born

Perhaps even before that.

And I have seen many question my existence

My tragedy, my unfinished symphony, my grip for freedom.

And maybe I did know not to fly too close to the sun, perhaps I knew that I was going too high and as I looked down to my father I noticed in the back of my mind that he was a speck—maybe even less than that.

Maybe I felt the wax melt under my grasp and feathers whisked pasted my face...
