A walk on a beach,
Both, on your bare feet,
So close and within reach,
A conversation brief but sweet;

Interval silence so heavy one cannot breach,
Yet creating ease like a fleet,
You trudge along the water avoiding a linch,
The cold water as a leech;

Your pounding hearts so needed to soothe,
As it imprints the day ensuite,
Just as smooth,
As the water clutches to your legs tight:

Pulling you both in with it,
As you hold unto each other with faces lit.
