Saudade
sau-da-dE (portuguese noun) - the love that remains, even after someone is gone; a nostalgic or melancholic longing to be near again to something or someone that is distant, or that has been loved and then lost.

The pregnant
moon carries;
an elusive wisp
pale in its grief
slumbering
though devoid
of truthful rest;
it awaits
dips her legs
above the sea
but not deep enough
to kiss the floor
no lover
stayed enough
to replace
the warmth
of the first, she said.
and so my tears
became the stars, you see
to guide the ones
that seek home;
to return
you are
everywhere, my love—
constantly
sailing against
the maelstrom
of time
and
of empty
the skies
only grew more
features of your eyes
the blues it bled,
till rain kissed my cheek
this earth
is but fragmented
little reminders
of lost loves
and
love
waiting
to be
found
once more.
