It's been raining for hours,
Admired its misty view from the window,
Could hear the wind and the showers,
While you lay your head on my pillow
I turn back to see,
Are you asleep?
Yes you are in deep and sound sleep
Unaware!
that I am there,
still there...
It's been raining for hours now,
Almost since morning,
The day seemed romantic
with initial thunder sounds,
Clapping our roof tops,
To make a tapping sound...
At night when I see deep into the clouds,
The thundering the roar,
seems clear and loud,
Yet! I am standing at window,
and admiring it's misty view,
It's giving glimpses of our past,
The first time you said
You never enjoyed getting wet in rain ever before...
I could hear the wind and the showers,
While you lay your head on my pillow,
Your promises still ring in my head,
'We will dance in the monsoon forever...'
Yes!! We do!
We do it each day,
You dance out your sweat in the sun on the streets,
For a better future,
And each day my cheeks get wetted as my tear glands rain,
Waiting for our romantic monsoons to come back again...
