in this heaviness
mind screams —
escape.
please, escape.
but in this heaviness,
i am trapped.
body sinking,
i cannot run,
fingers slow,
i cannot write.
tongue is tied,
despite the
million thoughts
racing through
my mind i —
can't speak, i —
can't escape
this monster sitting on my chest,
pressing down on every
bone and muscle,
legs held by
hands so large he pulls me
down
to the earth below.
ground,
please take me.
let me sink
through my mattress,
let my bones
snap the floorboards,
let my heaviness
carry
me
down
to
you.
please,
contain my body.
wrap me up
tightly, tightly,
so i can feel
light again.
