Nobody Sleeps in the Wood Tonight

The woods loom dark, a foreboding shroud,
Where terror reigns, and fear's allowed,
A place where nightmares roam and play,
And mortals tremble, night and day.

The trees, like skeletal hands, reach high,
Towards a moon that hides its eye,
The wind whispers secrets, eerie and cold,
As darkness stirs, young and old.

No soul dares venture, come night's fall,
Lest they face horrors beyond recall,
The wood's dark heart beats with malevolent might,
Crushing hope, and snuffing out the light.

In twisted groves, the damned souls sway,
Trapped by ancient, evil sway,
Their whispers weave a haunted spell,
That draws the living, to their hell.

The creatures of the wood, grotesque and grim,
Feast on fear, and revel within,
Their eyes aglow, like embers bright,
As they stalk prey, through the endless night.

The trees seem to shift, and twist, and turn,
Their branches grasping, like skeletal yearn,
The wind howls through, a mournful sigh,
As if the wood itself would cry.

No fire burns, to ward off the night,
No light pierces, the wood's dark sight,
The shadows writhe, like living things,
As horror reigns, with...
