God's Love
#WritcoPoemPrompt98
Life had no meaning for you until someone came along and brought out colors into your life. Write a poem on it.

I was a woman who was used to whirling on the mournful moon while my essence dipped in the ominous clouds. Sins were painted on my red lips as alcohol became my favorite poison. I bit into the forbidden apple, changing my life into rich darkness. My family was ashamed of me, and my friends abandoned me. My dreams was lost in the endless sea, fading in the roaring cascade. My lips couldn't pray, and my mind couldn't find any peace. My anger was building me a wall, and my guilt had me in chains. Trapped in a glass bottle... my life had no meaning until I felt your rain showers. I tasted it, quenching a thirst I never knew I had. Twirling in the rain, I felt your hands on my shoulder, lifting my heavy burden. I didn't care about the crazy stares or that I was named the drunken fool as my clothes got drenched. I put my arms out and sang to the heavens as you lifted my spirits. The pink and purple clouds peeked out of the dark clouds that followed in my footsteps. The sun accepted the invitation and smiled down on me, warming up my wounded soul. I smile... a smile that I thought I had forgotten as you whispered sweet music in my ears. You held my hands and guided me, showing me what I thought was a mountain was merely an anthill. Everything that looked like an endless ocean was just a puddle. He painted at the end of my dark clouds the beautiful vivid colors of the rainbow. He gently kissed my full cheeks.

"Child, You were already forgiven, and my love is forever," God spoke to my soul. I cried tears of joy as the sun rays painted the azure sky. God's tears disappeared as I dropped my handcuff of guilt and depression because now I was truly free and felt truly loved.
