Fallen Night
The empty streets.
The fallen sky,
No sound of complain,
Nor the whispers of regret.
Staring back at moon,
First comes the memories,
Delighted with joy.
Next comes the pain,
Through unhealed wounds.

Slipping away from reality,
Wishing he could travel back in time.
Where the stars will align,
to meet her again.
Maybe some other place,
Maybe some other time.
Maybe some other universe,
In some other timeline.

His mind grew hazy in thoughts,
Questioning himself, "Where did I go wrong?" Screaming silently,
He gasps for breath.
Tears filling his eyes,
And an aching pain down the spine.
His breath comes out short and heavy,
Similar to the wanderer of heavens,
Living in an illusion of infinity.
With creeping darkness of the void.
Along with the pain of being oxygen derived,
Immense pressure on face and throat.
Aching of lungs.
With nowhere else to go.

With darkness as his companion.
Wishing he could travel back in time.
Back to his unfinished tale.
Back to the good old days.
To the time of his broken age.
He would give anything away,
To leap into the universe,
Where it doesn't end the same.
Where the planet revolves,
To meet his faith.
Where the stars will shine,
Glittering the sparkle of hope.
Where the destiny awaits,
Without being torn.

He still remembers,
That mysterious feeling.
She was a diamond blazing like starlight.
He was an innocent man with eager eyes.
Carrying a little fondness in the sight.
His long wait for the someone who never recognised.
Oh! His restless heart,
And sleepless nights.
A subtle love, that no one sees.
A promise she failed to keep.
His fondness caused his defeat.
